Howard Park Cabernet Merlot 1993 Wine Tasting Review
Well Looky Here
Surprisingly youthful in colour.
Sniff Sniff
Rich, dry raisins, green capsicum.
Smokiness – a touch of coffee.
Warm creamy coffee.
A touch of dusty, musky old man perfume.
Sip Sip
Bold but with integrating, still softly dusty tannin.
Savoury but still some stewed, dried black fruit flavours.
Juiciness keeps it alive.
Drinking surprisingly well!
Nom Nom
We threw out the rule book and enjoyed this old boy with vegetarian “meat”balls, sweet potato mash, and supergrain salads.
Gimmie Gimmie
If you’re lucky, you might find one at auction.
12% alcohol.
Rating
Value – good.
Bronze – quite drinkable.
