First BBQ of spring.
That’s as good a time as any to crack open a bottle of bubbly. Especially one that has sentimental value. This drop, from Petersons of the Hunter Valley and Mudgee NSW, (not to be confused with Petersons Champagne House) is from the winery we always, always used to take visitors to when wine tasting in the Hunter.
The staff are hilarious, the outlook divine on the top of a hill, the cellar door rustic, friendly, and with an ever replenished supply of cheese and crackers on the counter. It was their shiraz we loved, but this fizz is fine and dandy.
