Forester Estate Margaret River Cabernet Merlot 2007

Sometimes, you crave something rich and smooth with a bit of secondary darkness.

Not every night is a bright, fresh, night.

After a tough day, you need something more brooding to match your mood. Like life, not all wine is cherries and roses. For this I am grateful, because there really is something to match any emotion just like there is something to match every food.

Last shown at a Wine show in 2009, this fellow from Margaret River was showing it’s age and I wouldn’t leave it too much longer or the acid may become too prominent as the tannin softens out.

Well Looky Here

Deep crimson, with ruby edge and just a touch of brick reddishness to it too.

Sniff Sniff

Sweet and rich, with just a hint remaining of green capsicum.

Fruitcake spice, dark chocolate.

Sip Sip

Stewed sour cherry,  barbequed green capsicum.

Still a touch of powdery tannin on the back palate, just enough to still balance the juicy, tart acid.
