Tarrawarra Estate Pinot Noir Yarra Valley 2013 Wine Tasting Note

The first drink of a long weekend is always special.

It caps off the previous week. Adds a full stop to leave it behind. And ushers in the coming weekend.

Especially in winter, I look forward to my Friday knock off red.

So it’s especially nice when that first sip, that first taste of freedom for the weekend, is delicious. When that happens, it’s like magic.

As it was with this drop from the Yarra Valley, where some of my other blogger friends are based or near to (Champagne and Chips & Wine is a Verb).

Well Looky Here

Ruby translucence.

Sniff Sniff

So pretty, it leaps out begging to be sipped.

Violets, strawberries, dust & spices leap out with just a hint of moistened earth.

Sip Sip

Juicy red fruits are balanced with spicy oak and a touch of vanilla.

A little tiny bit of cheek tickling tannin but it finishes juicy with lasting chocolate & cherry pud flavours.

Love love loved it.
