Krinklewood Wild Red Shiraz 2014 Wine Tasting Review

Back when we were Sydneysiders, every few months we’d pile into the bumpy truck and head north to wine country – the Hunter Valley.

At first, we explored the big guys in the big towns, Tyrrells, Brokenwood, Mc Williams near Pokolbin.

Then we started branching out.

Smaller towns.

Smaller wineries.

Cellar doors by appointment.

And thus, we discovered Broke, and Krinklewood, and promptly fell in love.

With the wines, and Mr Wino made friends with a particularly fetching piggy.

I’ve been a mailing list member for years – the only one I’m on, and still love to get my six pack in the mail.

It’s a taste of my history, and the future of winemaking, from this cracker of a sustainable, biodynamic winery in Broke.
