Chilly weather calls for a rich white wine.
The best white wine is chard, Margaret River chard. *
*not always how I feel but it was tonight!
Margaret River grows cracking chardonnay.
The moderate climate results in characteristics like:
- bright stone fruit & citrus nose
- taste crisp and crunchy
- usually low yielding.
Wine Tasting Review Arlewood Margaret River Chardonnay 2006
Well, Looky Here
Bright, clear, canary yellow gold hue reveals its’ age.
Sniff Sniff.
Figs, butterscotch and ripe candied mandarin. Brown sugar and hints of molasses.
Sip sip.
Silky, mouth coating with lovely marmalade on toast and still some crisp acidity to finish.
It’s our last bottle, and its the right time to drink it, it probably won’t last much longer. Drinking nicely as a 9 year old chardy.
