Hay Shed Hill Cabernet Merlot 2008 Wine Tasting Review

Back in 2010 we made a wine pilgrimage to Margaret River. One of the cellar doors that we had memorable experiences at was Hay Shed Hill. Not only were the wines fantastic, but there was a cafe onsite as well with great coffee and a tempting menu. So much so, that we returned a second time during the same trip for lunch.

And of course, a few (maybe more than a few…) bottles made their way out of the cellar door and into our cellar.

Give it a swirl and up floats mocha, with a hint of sweetness that wasn’t there the last time we cracked a bottle. Also some mint and eucalyptol and dried herbs.savoury on the palate with green caps flavours then a strong tannin and nice juicy acid hit.

We’ll be polishing off our remaining bottles quick smart, as the changing flavours suggest it’s reached a tipping point.

It’s certainly a goodie!
